Prior to joining OSSM in 2015, she was an Advanced Placement English Teacher at Piedmont High School in Piedmont, Oklahoma, and an Instructor in English and Humanities and Associate Director of College Counseling at Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City. Sara Marie Bodenstein is a Professor of Mathematics at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics, teaching Pre-Calculus and Calculus. Additionally, Bodenstein supervises the Oklahoma Math League competitions, teaches middle school math workshops, and writes OSSM math entrance exams. Neal Piper is the Executive Director of the Presidential Precinct, a nonprofit organization in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Presidential Precinct unites William & Mary, the University of Virginia, and the Presidential homes Monticello, Montpelier and Highland in programs to educate the next generation of world leaders. Previously, Neal worked for Population Services International and Pfizer. Mark is a Professor of Biology at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City. He has been awarded with the OSSM Foundation Faculty Award and Research Excellence Awards. Mark has also received the Travel Award from OSSM for his leadership in chaperoning students on a six-country international workshop. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Science and enjoys playing competitive Tennis.

In 2015, Haoxuan was nominated for the position of Vice-President of his school’s MUN club, learning about the importance of international relationships and delegations of a president or member of a state.

Zhoujie is a student of the high school graduating class of 2017 at Beijing High School No 4. Her primary focus of study is mathematics and she is also a pupil of dance. Zhoujie also enjoys learning calligraphy and playing soccer. She was awarded First Prize in mathematical modeling in the 2015 Beijing Applied Mathematics competition, increasing her school and class rankings from 150 to 29. Zhoujie enjoys volunteering in her hometown of Beijing.

Heather Corpora is a School Counselor at William Monroe Middle School in Greene County, Virginia. She has been a school counselor the past nine years, working primarily with high school and middle school students. Previously, Heather was the Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach for Nelson County High School, and now participates in the Charlottesville Recreation Volleyball Program. Her personal interests include traveling and spending time in nature.

Pedro was honored with second place standing at the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair and state first place winner. In his free time, Pedro enjoys playing soccer, swimming, and sailing.

Liu Yuang is a member of the Honor Council and the Class Committee at Beijing High School No 4. He enjoys participating in charitable programs and is a Beijing Youth Volunteer. He won seventh place in the Beijing Fencing Competition, is a Champion of the Long Jump as well as earned second place in the 400-meter race representing his school. Yuang has written, directed, and performed in two English dramas, earning his school a Top Drama Prize.

She is a member of “Future Talent Project” in 2013 and has volunteered at Beijing High School’s Library Services over the past two years.

Zou Yumeng is a student of the graduating class of 2015 from Beijing High School 4. She enjoys writing novels and articles for her own start-up magazines in Beijing, China called “The 66th Block”. Dr. Bachmann is a member of the OSSM faculty teaching Physics for over 14 years with the school. Prior to joining OSSM, Dr. Bachmann held postdoctoral positions in solar astronomy at the High Altitude Observatory in Colorado and the National Solar Observatory in Arizona. He also, taught physics at two liberal arts colleges in Pennsylvania and in Alabama where he held the capacity of Assistant Professor.

Amelia enjoys swimming, listening to music, watching movies and reading when she is not studying. She has played the flute for eight years and plans to continue to play throughout life. Amelia is a fan American movies and TV series and keeps up with the latest. She keeps busy with group projects and has started up her own tourism business in Beijing, coordinating various sightseeing around the city. She finds great pleasure in interacting with people in her community and helping those in need.

Mingpu Hu is a student of the graduating class of 2015. He served as the Vice President of the school chorus, performing and representing his school at Carnegie Hall. He recently founded a website which helps students to start up projects, recruit members and raise money. Mingpu intends to study Visual Communication in college, and his design works have received rave reviews from top high-tech companies such as Tencent and Meizu in China.

Currently, Andrew is an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma studying Chemical Engineering and pursuing a Pre-Medical degree.

Austin is a native to Oklahoma and graduated from OSSM in May, 2014. Austin served as Vice President of the World Language Club and as Secretary of the Chess Club. Austin was awarded with the 2012 Chemistry Achievement Award and Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry Award. Austin is pursuing a Biochemistry degree at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma.

Eryn graduated from Webb Schools in May 2014 and intends to study International Relations at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She has traveled to Ecuador with Extreme Response International in an effort to work with special needs children. Eryn has served as President of the Global Children’s Relief Club and is a member of Webb’s Christian Club. She enjoys playing Varsity Softball, Varsity Volleyball, and Varsity Basketball.

While he is currently interested in physics, psychology, and a few foreign languages, he has yet to decide which field he will pursue.

Alyssa was born in Rogers, Arkansas. She is a graduate of the class of 2013 from the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics and is currently studying at Stanford University. She plans to pursue both undergraduate and graduate degrees in physics and learn the Mandarin Language. Alyssa hopes to return to China as part of a study-abroad program with Stanford University.

He was a member of the Superintendents Honor Roll and the National Society of High School Scholars that same year. Eduardo is now a full-time student at Princeton University majoring in Philosophy and pursuing certification and fluency in the Mandarin Language.

Ty is from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and graduated from OSSM in 2012. While at OSSM he was a member of the Physics Journal Club, Boy Scouts of America, Tulsa Youth Symphony, Math Club and the Einstein Science Club. Abigail is a winner of Webb’s “Unbounded Thinker’s Award” (2010) receiving multiple awards in leadership throughout her years at Webb. In 2009 she won the Commendations Award as part of a Model United Nations program. Abigail is attending Wellesley College in Massachusetts studying Political Science and Media Arts and Science. Tim became the first student at Webb to qualify for and compete in the State Geography Bee. He was awarded the Academic Achievement Award his freshman year at Webb and won the Freshman History Award that same year.
