The Hefner Initiative aims to help build a close and positive relationship between China and the USA. The Hefner Initiative is an approximate 10-day summer program which sponsors high school students in America to travel abroad to Singapore and China. The Robert & MeiLi Hefner Foundation believes that this opportunity will not only enhance the China/US relationship in the future but also expand the knowledge and exposure of these young students to a rising and important sector of the world.
The schools will set up their own Board who will then select four of the best entries, submitting them to us by February 1, 2013 for review. In turn we will select two out of the four who will be known from that point forward as Hefner Awardees. Read the full announcement on OSSM’s website here.
